YDOLLZ is an NFT collection of 10 000 assets rooted in the internet culture of the 90s and 00s. YDOLLZ pays tribute to the very first wave of online avatars, and is a testament to the era where digital art began.
The very first pixel dolls were created by an artist named Melicia Greenwood, they were used in chat rooms on websites such as The Palace (created by Jim Bumgardner) in 1997. I have dug out many of the traits from archived Doll-making sites abandoned during the last 25 years, and have adapted them to the contemporary online culture.
In this increasingly cyborg, inflationary world, YDOLLZ stands as a cultural artifact of our digital evolution. YDOLLZ is more than just a collection; it's a statement and a piece of digital history.
